CHAPTER XXIV

ARCANUM No. 2

The 2 is Negative.  In the Temples in ancient times there was a Priest and a Priestess.  In Primitive Masonry there was a Master and a Mistress.  Count Cagliostro tried to establish Egyptian Masonry in England, but he had many enemies.  He established two thrones [1].  Giovanni Papini met Count Cagliostro on an ocean voyage.  They became friends and the Count revealed who he was.  He had wanted to avoid the Second World War and since no one heeded him he went again to Tibet, saying that he would return sixty years later.

The Egyptian Masonry was grand.  In ancient times when there were Sacred Hermaphrodites, the 1 and the 2 were fused.  In the Polar Epoch, during the Protoplasmatic First Race, humanity was androgynous.  Back then, sexual reproduction took place at certain times of the year.  They divided themselves into two; that two was the child.

At that time, when someone was born, a ritual took place.  The human beings could make an atom smaller or larger.  When a Master wanted to speak sweetly he put the Feminine Principle into play; when he wanted to show his strictness, he brought the Masculine Principle to the surface.  This is how the Elohim are.

The Latin tradition tells us that Aeneas came to the sanctuary of Apollo (Aeneid, Book IV) and went to see the Oracle, who prophesied what awaited him.  Aeneas requested to see his dead father.  He petitioned to enter into the Infernos.  The terrible Sibyl, keeper of the Forests of Hecate Proserpine (third aspect of the Divine Mother), the forests of the Avernus, answered him, "Easy is the descent into the Avernus, but very difficult is the return to the surface of the earth. Few have achieved it." 

She asked him to acquire a branch of which the leaves and stem were made of gold, consecrated to Proserpine, the Divine Mother in her infernal aspect.  Aeneas sacrificed some black sheep, and he then saw two doves that flew away.  The Hero recognized that they were the birds of his Divine Mother (symbol of the Holy Spirit).  He intelligently interpreted this message, and the two birds led him to the forest of Proserpinewhere he found the branch that would permit him entrance to the Infernos.  Aeneas sacrificed four black cows and the Sibyl led him through the Avernus to where his dead father was. 

The Masculine and Feminine principles are combined in the Holy and Mysterious Tetragrammaton, an esoteric name that should not be pronounced in vain and that in Hebrew is related to the letters of the Name of the Eternal: HE  VAU  HE  IOD (Hebrew symbols that must be read backwards).

IOD:  Eternal Masculine Principle. 

HE:   Eternal Feminine Principle. 

VAU: Masculine Phallic Principle: the Lingam. 

HE:   The Feminine Principle, the Uterus; the Yoni.

Iod He Vau He reduces to SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Those four letters are in themselves of tremendous priestly power.  The "S" must be pronounced as if imitating the howling of a cyclone amidst the mountain, or imitating the wind.  If one wants to cure an sick person, or to invoke a Deity, it is pronounced softly.  It also serves for meditating.  In those four letters, the Two Feminine and Masculine Principles of the Macrocosm and Microcosm are represented:  the Staff, masculine principle, and the Cup, feminine principle.  In those four letters are the Principle of the Eternal that should not be pronounced in vain.

The number 2 is vital.  In the temples of the Mysteries, two altars were never absent.   One cannot enter the Templewithout going through the two columns where there are two.

What would life be like if the number 2 did not exist?  The Matripadma receives the Fohat masculine ray, the Holy Spirit, spouse of the Divine Mother.  This is fecundated and the universe appears.  What would life be like without the other principle.  Before the dawn of the Mahamanvantara, the Cosmic Day, nothing existed.  The Gods were living within that which has no name, no form, no sound, no silence, nor ears in order to perceive it.

When life dawned, when the dawn of creation commenced, the First Logos called the Third Logos and said to him, "Go and fecundate your spouse in order for existence to begin."  He then started to work with the seven Spirits before the Throne, and the army of the Voice.  Then the Masonic Rituals were performed and the chaotic matter became fecundated.  The Matripadma was fecundated and the universe came into existence.  Each one of the seven Cosmocrators emanated from itself the two souls, the feminine Buddhi Soul and masculine Causal Soul, which are symbolized by the constellation of Pisces.

These two souls, husband and wife, practiced a transcendental Maithuna.  She separated the superior waters from the inferior waters in order for the waters to be fecundated by the fire and projected these waters by means of the Verb.  Then, the seeds of the Matripadma proliferated, the Matripadma swelled like a lotus flower, and thus fructifying, a Cosmos was born.

The eternal positive and the eternal negative are in electricity.  In Indiathe masculine principle is represented by a Bull, and the feminine principle by the sacred white cow which represents the Divine Mother and that has as its antithesis the Black Cow.

We need to Christify ourselves.  No human being can return to the Father without being devoured by the serpent.  No one can be devoured by the serpent without having worked in the Flaming Forge of Vulcan (sex).  The key of Christification is in the Arcanum A.Z.F.  The mantra of the Great Arcanum is I.A.O.

Mars descends into the Flaming Forge of Vulcan in order to re-temper his sword and to conquer the heart of Venus, Hercules descends in order to clean the stables of Augeus with the sacred Fire and Perseus descends in order to cut off Medusa's head.

Remember dear disciples that our Divine Mother is Nut and her word is "56".  This number is broken down Kabalistically like this:  5 + 6 = 11, then 1 + 1 = 2.  One is the Father, two is She, Nut, the Divine Mother Kundalini.  Here we have the wonder of the number two.

SYNTHESIS:

  • One's wife is the Athanor of the Sexual Alchemy.  The human being left Paradise through the doors of Eden, and Eden is Sex itself.  
  • The door to Paradise is Sex.  One’s wife is the door.  
  • The “Kundalini” is the Sacred Fire of the Holy Spirit, it is the Pentecostal Fire, it is the fiery serpent of our magical powers.  
  • Kundalini is enclosed in the Muladhara Chakra situated in the coccyx.  
  • The secret to awakening the Kundalini is the following:  “Introduce the virile member into the vagina of one’s wife and withdraw without spilling the semen.  This practice is to be done slowly.  [For further information about this, see the section titled "On Love, Sacred or Transcendental Sexuality, etc"  by clicking here].
  • The Arcanum A.Z.F., Sexual Magic or Maithuna, can only be practiced between Husband and Wife in legitimately constituted homes.  
  • The practice of the Arcanum must be done only once per day.  If it is practiced twice in a day one falls into the negative, violating the recuperative magnetic pause.


[1]  The Egyptian Rite Freemasonry established by the Count Cagliostro all over Europe invited and allowed both men and women to participate.  It is said that in certain of its rites two thrones were used, one for the man and one for the woman.
