INITIATION

Initiation is your life itself.  If you want Initiation write it on a staff.  Let him who has understanding understand, because here is wisdom.  Initiation is not bought or sold.  Flee from those schools that give initiations by mail.  Flee from all those that sell initiations.

Initiation is something very intimate of the Soul.  The ego does not receive Initiations.  Those who say, “I have this many initiations, I have such and such degrees,” are deceivers and impostors, because the “I” does not receive Initiations or degrees.

There are nine Initiations of Lesser Mysteries and five important Initiations of Greater Mysteries.  It is the Soul that receives the Initiations.  That is very, very intimate.  That is not something one goes around speaking about; it should not be told to anyone.

All of the initiations and degrees that many schools of the physical world bestow really have no value in the higher worlds.  The Masters of the White Lodge only recognize the legitimate Initiations of the Soul as true.  That is completely internal.

The disciple can ascend the nine arcades, go through all of the nine Initiations of Lesser Mysteries, without having worked with the Arcanum A.Z.F. (the Sexual Magic).  However, it is impossible to enter the Greater Mysteries without the Sexual Magic (this is the Arcanum A.Z.F.).

In Egypt, all those who reached the Ninth Sphere inevitably received, lips to ear, the tremendous secret of the Great Arcanum, the most powerful Arcanum, the Arcanum A.Z.F.

The Guardian of the Threshold.  The first trial that the candidate must confront is the test of the Guardian of the Threshold.  This is the reflection of the ego, the innermost depth of the ego.  Many are those who fail in this terrible test. 

The candidate has to invoke the Guardian of the Threshold in the internal worlds.  A frightening electrical hurricane precedes the terrible apparition.

The larva of the Threshold is armed with a tremendous hypnotic power.  This monster really has all of the horrible ugliness of our own sins.  It is the living mirror our own evils.  The frightening struggle is face to face, body to body.  If the Guardian overcomes the candidate, the candidate remains enslaved by the horrible monster.  If the candidate emerges victorious, the Monster of the Threshold flees terrified.  Then a metallic sound makes the Universe tremble and the candidate is received into the Hall of Children.  This reminds us of the phrase of the Hierophant Jesus the Christ: “Except that ye be converted, and become be as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of keaven.”

In the Hall of Children the candidate is attended by the Holy Masters.  Their happiness is immense because a human being has entered the Path of Initiation.  The whole College of Initiation (children) congratulates the candidate.  The candidate has overcome the first Guardian.  This test happens in the astral world.
