SACRED CONCOMITANTS OF THE SECRET FIRE
My dear Gnostic brothers and sisters, I’m going to speak to you about the sexual fire.
The sexual transmutation of the ens seminis into creative energy is made possible when we carefully avoid the deplorable spasm, the unclean orgasm of fornicators. The bipolarization of this type of cosmic energy in the human organism was, from ancient times, analyzed in the Initiatic Colleges of Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Greece, Chaldea, Rome, Phoenicia, etc., etc., etc. The seminal energy makes its ascent to the brain thanks to a certain pair of nerve cords that unwind splendidly to the right and left of the dorsal spine in the form of an eight. We have arrived, then, at the caduceus of Mercury, with its wings of the Spirit ever open.
The mentioned pair of nerve cords could never be found with a scalpel, since they are rather of a semi-etheric, semi-physical nature. These are the two witnesses of the Apocalypse, the two olive trees and the two candlesticks “standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies…” [1] In the sacred land of the Vedas, these two nerve cords are known by the Sanskrit names “Ida” and “Pingala.” The first is related with the left nostril and the second with the right. It is obvious that the first of these two nadis or channels is of a lunartype. It is clear that the second is of a solar nature.
It may surprise many Gnostic students a bit that Ida, being of a cold and lunar nature, has its roots in the right testicle. The news that Pingala, being strictly of a solar type, really departs from the left testicle, might strike many disciples of our Gnostic Movement as something strange and unusual. However, we should not be surprised, because everything in Nature is based on the Law of Polarities. The right testicle finds its exact opposite pole in the left nostril, and this is already shown. The left testicle finds its perfect antipode in the right nostril, and obviously it must be this way. Esoteric physiology teaches that in the feminine sex the two witnesses depart from the ovaries. Unquestionably, in women the order of this pair of olive trees of the Temple is harmoniously reversed.
Old traditions that emerge from the deep night of all the ages say that when the solar and lunar atoms of the seminal sexual system make contact in the Triveni, near the coccyx, then, through simple electrical induction, a third force awakens. I am referring to the marvelous Fire of Love.
It is written in the old books of ancient wisdom that the interior opening of the spinal canal in average, ordinary persons is found to be hermetically closed. The seminal vapors (or “seminal humors” as doctors say) open it so that the Sacred Fire of Sexuality can enter there. Along the length of the spinal canal, a marvelous interplay is processed of various channels, penetrating and interpenetrating each other without becoming confused, due to the fact that they are placed in different dimensions. Let’s remember the Sushumna, and others like the Vajra, the Chitra, the Centralis and the famous Brahma-nadi. It is through this last one that the Fire of sexual delight ascends when we never commit the crime of spilling the semen.
It is absurd to emphasize the mistaken idea that the Erotic Fire of all happiness sets out on a return trip to the coccyx after the incarnation of the Being, the Jivatma, in the human being’s heart. It is a horrible falsehood that states, clumsily, that the Divine Flame of Love, after having enjoyed its union with Paramashiva, separates itself, beginning a return journey through its initial path. Such a fatal return, that descent to the coccyx, is only made possible when Initiates spill the semen. Then they fall, struck down by the terrible lightning bolt of Cosmic Justice.
The ascent of the sexual fire through the medullary channel is realized slowly, according to the merits of the heart. The cardiac fires wisely control the miraculous ascent of the Flame of Love. Obviously, that erotic flame is not something automatic or mechanical, as many sincerely mistaken people suppose. This serpentine fire awakens exclusively with true and loving sexual delight. The erotic flame would never ascend through the medullary channel of couples united merely for personal convenience. The ascent of the holy flame in the dorsal spine of adulterous men and women would be impossible (I’m referring, my dear brothers and sisters, in parentheses, to men who practice sexual magic with diverse women or vice versa). The fire will never rise in the dorsal spine of those who betray their Guru. The sexual fire will never ascend through the medulla of drunkards, gay men, lesbians, drug addicts, murderers, thieves, liars, slanderers, exploiters, the greedy, blasphemers, those who are sacrilegious, etc., etc., etc.
The fire of sexual enjoyments is like a serpent of wonders, which when it awakens emits a sound very similar to that of any viper incited with a stick. The sexual fire, the Sanskrit name of which is Kundalini, develops, revolves and ascends within the radiant aura of the Maha-Chohan. The ascent of the Flame of Ardent Happiness the length of the spinal canal, from vertebra to vertebra, from degree to degree, in truth is very slow; it would never rise instantaneously as is mistakenly supposed by some people who do not have correct information.
There is no need for much ado in saying that the 33 degrees of occult Masonry correspond esoterically with the 33 spinal vertebrae. When Alchemists commit the crime of spilling the Vessel of Hermes (I am referring, in parentheses, my dear brothers and sisters, to seminal spilling), obviously they lose Masonic degrees, because the Fire of Amorous Enchantments descends one or more vertebrae, according to the magnitude of the fault. To recuperate the lost degrees is usually frightfully difficult, however it is written that in the Cathedral of the Soul there is more happiness for one sinner who repents than for a thousand of the righteous who need no repentance…
In the Magistery of Love, we are always assisted by the Elohim. They counsel and help us. The Adhyatmic Universityof the sages periodically examines the aspirants who, after having renounced Mammon (in parentheses, intellectualism and material wealth), wisely enjoy the delights of Love in the bridal bed.
The key to redemptionis found in the medullaand in the semen, and whatever is not going towards that, by that road, is in fact a useless waste of time.
The Serpentine Fire, Kundalini, is found coiled, like any snake, with three and a half coils within a certain magnetic center situated in the coccygeal bone, the base of the dorsal spine. When the Sexual Serpent awakens in order to begin its inward and upward movement, we pass through six transcendental mystical experiences that we can and must clearly define thus with six Sanskrit terms:
Ananda: true spiritual happiness.
Kampan: an electric and psychic type of hypersensitivity.
Utthan: progressive augmentation of self-consciousness; astral unfolding, transcendental mystical experiences in the higher worlds, etc.
Ghurni: intense divine longings.
Murcha: States of lassitude, relaxations of the muscles and nerves in a very natural and spontaneous way during meditation.
Nidra: Some specific mode of sleep that, combined with deep inner meditation, becomes resplendent Samadhi (Ecstasy).
Unquestionably, the Fire of Love bestows on us infinite transcendental powers. The Sexual Flame is, without any doubt, at the same time a Jehovistic and a Vedantin truth. The sexual flame is the Goddess of the Word adored by the sages. When She awakens She bestows illuminationupon us.
The Erotic Flame grants us that divine happinessthat is not of the mind and is beyond time. It is She who also gives the muktiof the Final Beatitude and the jnanaof liberation.
DIIIIIII OOOOOOONNNNNNN IIIIIIISSSSSSS IIIIIIIOOOOOOO.
Dionisio! Pronouncing the syllables of this magical word, this wondrous mantra, brings the voluntary transmutation of the libido in an extraordinary way during the paradisiacal coitus. Magical results of this mantra are:
DIIIIIII intensifies the vibration of the creative organs.
OOOOOOONNNNNNN: intelligent movement of the creative energy in the whole sexual nervous system, until it is submerged in the consciousness.
IIIIIIISSSSSSS: This mantric syllable reminds us of the Isiac Mysteries and of their corresponding name, “Isis.” Obviously the vowel “I” and the letter “S,” prolonged like a sweet and gentle whistle, invokes the Sexual Serpent in order that it rise victoriously through the spinal medullary channel.
IIIIIIIOOOOOOO: Isolde, the lunar-solar androgyny, Osiris-Isis, sparkles from the profound depths of all the ages, terribly divine. “I”, with its deep meaning, is certainly the lingam (phallus), the Hebrew Iod. “O” is the Eternal Feminine, the uterus, the yoni, and the famous Hebraic He.
IO: when we intone this last syllable of the magic word during the sexual trance, then comes the integral transmutation of the libido.
This is how the fiery serpent of our magical powers awakens in order to initiate its exodus through the medullary channel.
The maternal aspect of the sacred flame that ascends in a serpentine form through the dorsal spine, stands out clearly and manifestly. Flame with a serpent figure, divine Sexual Flame, Most Holy Mother Kundalini!
Outside of the physical body our particular Divine Mother (since everyone has their own) always assumes the marvelous form of a Virgin Mother. Once, the date and time don’t matter, finding myself outside of the physical body I encountered my Sacred Mother inside of a beautiful sacred space. After the traditional embraces of son and mother, She seated herself in a comfortable chair facing me, an opportunity that I took advantage of in order to ask very necessary questions.
“Am I doing well now, my Mother?”
“Yes, my son, you are doing well.”
“Do I still need to practice sexual magic?”
“Yes, you still need to do so.”
“Is it possible that there in the physical world, there could be someone that could be able to Self-realize without needing sexual magic?”
The answer to this last question was tremendous: “Impossible, my son! That is not possible!”
I confess frankly and unambiguously that these words of the Adorable One left me astonished. I remembered then, with great pain, so many pseudo-esoteric and pseudo-occultist types of people who truly yearn for the final liberation, but who do not know the Sahaja Maithuna, the Sexual Magic, the marvelous key of the Great Arcanum. Unquestionably, the road that leads to the abyss is paved with good intentions…
Student: Master Samael, I want to ask you a question regarding the ascent of the Kundalini as you have explained it to us in this lecture. If a man practices sexual magic with different women, since I imagine that it is the same process, I would like to know, in this case, being that he practices sexual magic and that the only difference is that he doesn’t practice with just one woman, why aren’t the results the same?
Master Samael: Distinguished brother, I will answer your question with the greatest pleasure. The Kundalini is not something mechanical. The Sacred Fire of Love is the Cosmic Divine Mother. She in herself is omniscient, all-merciful and completely just. It would be absurd to suppose even for a moment that our Mother Kundalini would reward adultery. In that case obviously She would become an accomplice to the crime. That is, then, my answer.
Student: Thank you Master.
Student: Master, how is it possible that in a person who betrays his Guru, the sexual fire doesn’t ascend for him if he practices with his wife and only with her, and if he fully accomplishes his work?
Master Samael: With great pleasure I will give an answer to your question, distinguished sister. The Sexual Flame, the Divine Mother Kundalini Shakti, is not something mechanical, I repeat; it ascends according to the merits of the heart. If one betrays the Master, the Guru, it is clear that there is no merit for the ascent. The Divine Mother Kundalini would never reward betrayal.
Student: Thank you Master.
Master Samael: I knew at one point of the case of a Guru who instructed a student, and that student turned against his Master, pronounced himself against him; however he continued to practice the Sahaja Maithuna with his priestess-wife. It is clear that the Sacred Fire, instead of rising through the medullary channel, precipitated downward from the coccyx, turning into Satan’s tail, the abominable Kundartiguador organ. That was how that student failed completely. He became a Black Tantric, an Adept of the Left Hand, one of the tenebrous. The Mother Kundalini, I repeat, does not reward betrayals.
Student: Master, there are many students in the Gnostic Movement who are really concerned about the practice of sexual magic, but they forget the dissolution of the I. What can you tell us about this?
Master Samael: I am most happy to answer your question, distinguished lady. Certainly, for those who only concern themselves with sexual magic, radically forgetting the dissolution of the ego, it is because the foundation of Erotic Alchemy is completely unknown to them. We must specify that foundation thus: “Solve et coagula,” dissolving and coagulating.
During the Sahaja Maithuna we need to work in the dissolution of the Ego and to coagulate the sexual hydrogen Si-12 in the marvelous creation of the solar bodies. It is necessary to annihilate the myself, the self, in the midst of erotic sexual work. Right there, in the Ninth Sphere, during the trance of the united couple, the Divine Mother Kundalini must be invoked with all one’s heart and soul, asking in prayer that She utilize the transcendental electricity, the power of the phallic lancein order to destroy the Ego, the I, the defect that we have comprehended, integrally, in all the levels of the mind.
We must never, ever forget that the Ego is composed of multiple entities that personify our errors: anger, greed, lust, envy, pride, laziness, gluttony, etc., etc., etc. All of these defects are processed in the 49 regions of the subconscious and are perfectly expressed internally in the form of devil-I’s. Eliminating those defects equals eliminating their hidden personifications, called “devil-I’s. She, the divine Devi Kundalini, will thrust forth the Spear of Longinus in order to destroy, to reduce the defect that we have understood to ashes.
We need to take advantage of, I repeat, the practice of the Maithuna itself in order to eliminate the ego. Those who only concern themselves with nothing more than the enjoyment, with the pleasure and with the ascent of the Sacred Flame, but who never give a thought to the dissolution of the I, will in the end become a Hanasmussenwith a double center of gravity.
A Hanasmussen is, as I have said many times, a person with two internal personalities: the White taken by the Spirit and the Solar Bodies; the Black formed by the Ego, the I, the myself, the self. So then, let’s never forget the “solve et coagula,” dissolving the errors, the psychological defects during the Sahaja Maithuna, and coagulating the marvelous forces of sex into the Christic solar vehicles. Understood, my dear sister?
Student: Yes, Master. Thank you.
Student: Master, I find myself a bit confused and I’m hoping you will clarify this doubt I have, since after what we’ve talked about the thought comes to my mind that sexual enjoyment is bad. Is erotic happiness bad, then?
Master Samael: God and Mother Mary help me! […] How long is it going to take before you all understand me? Remember that sexual enjoyment is a legitimate enjoyment of the human being. Sexual delight is paradisiacal. It is urgent that you comprehend that that delight, that enjoyment, must be directed inward and upward, toward the divine.
It is necessary, it is indispensable, that in the midst of coitus all attachment to lust is eliminated. Coitus is a form of prayer and lust is its antithesis. Lust, I repeat, is a sacrilege. Why do we have to be lustful? The yoniof the woman is symbolized by the divine chalicefrom which Christ drank at the last supper. The male phallus is allegorized by that spear with which Longinus pierced the side of the Lord, the same which the Wagnerian Parsifal will use in order to heal the wound in Amphortas’ side. These two jewels, so symbolic and divine, are formidable. They refer precisely to the lingam-yoni of the Greek Mysteries.
Why do we have to look at sex with the eyes of a demon? Why do we have to have lust? No, brothers and sisters! Know that lust is a […] sacrilege. Really, lust is like a man who throws the bread and wine...on the floor... [<--]
